In July 1982 Hsinchu was upgraded into Provincial Municipality,
and environmental protection affair was responsible by Cleaning
office and section 2,Hygiene Bureau. However, as the economic
growth, people are keen to make more profit, and are lack of
attention on the importance of environmental protection. Therefore,
the prosperity of material life declines the quality of environment.
For government to its duty to protect and effectively manage
the environment. Hsinchu Bureau of environmental protection
was established in 1st., September 1988, which was adapted across
from Bureau of Medicine and Hygiene and Cleaning office. Hsinchu
Bureau of environment protection is leading to protect environment.
Its job is to ensure the quality of environment, and produce
benefits for a better living environment, the government body
is working on the future towards ¡§azure sky, green
earth, blue mountains, and clear waters¡¨ with the
residents.
